Sagging headliners

My 1992 Ford Escot LX 2 door hatchback is losing the battle. There is about 65% of the cloth is now loose. Can you share some removal details with me, please so I can inspect the foam?
Remove the plastic trim that is used to trim off on the edges and anything attached through the headliner (like dome lights, visors, etc.); and drop it out.
