We just bought a 1977 Ford F150 that only has part of the head board. Can we get insulation and put up before installing a new headliner and how do we go about doing it? Thanks.
Certainly, you can put anything up there you want to; as long as it doesn't hinder the shape of the new headliner board. What I mean by hinder is, as long as it's not too thick and causes the headliner board to bulge. How you go about doing it is find whatever you want to use such as felt or regular insulation and gluing it to the metal roof of the truck - then install the new headliner board.
