Jaguar headliners
have a 1985 Jaguar xj12 with a sagging headliner, it seems like the board is sagging, but it's not the whole board, just the part behind the sunroof, is it supposed to be like this? I didn't know if maybe it was there so the sunroof could slide back.
The boards in Jaguar's are constructed very well. It is doughtful that it has sagged much; even though it is an 85. But if it has; there isn't much you could do about it (that will work good) because the construction of the headliner board is done so good. It would be hard to change the shape of it. Make sure it is the board and not the cloth that is sagging?? It sounds to me like it may be the headliner material dropping down instead of the board sagging.
Believe it or not, Jaguars have headliner sagging problems too. We have replaced many at our shop.

The best way to remove the board is to slide it out the back driver side door - or that is the best way we have found. It would probably make it easier if the driver side seat was removed.
