Chevrolet truck interior trim
Is there a trick to getting the interior trim off a 1990 chevy pickup without breaking it?
It's no trick; it is knowing what is under there that's holding the trim on. You simply pull it straight down (or out on the front post: beside the front glass). Here's the easiest way...with left hand, push the overlaping trim at the rear top of the door from over the other piece of trim...use a screwdriver and about 3 inches from the end of trim place the screwdriver under the trim and pry down a little...this will let you see a little golden colored clip...place the screwdriver on the edge of the clip and then pry down. The plastic trim has a thin piece of plastic that was built in it when it was molded, that wedges into the metal clip. There are 2 at the top of the door; and 2 on the front door post. The ones on the front door post are metal that is built into the plastic that wedges into a slot in the metal of the truck. Only one of these need come out and simply let the trim hang while you work.
