Other model specific headliner questions
I have a 1990 Astro with a center ceiling console. What surprises are lurking there for me as I try to install your kit?
Most of the ceiling consoles in minivans are attached in either of 2 ways...they are put up with all screws or they have a couple of screws at the front and they are slide into a bracket at the back (dodge minivan). We have been in this business for 12 years and done thousands of headliners... and still have to figure out how different things are attached. It's hard to tell when you can't see any screws or clips.
Obvious places to look for anything attached is under any kind of lights (remove covers with a small screwdriver) and other removable trim. Most lighting systems have 1 connector for all the wires. Undo it and undo all. There's usually nothing to a console but a shell, few recessed trays, and lights.
