Headliner Boards
ID #1037
I tore the headliner board on my 89 chev truck between the sunvisors where it is held on by velcro. Is there a way to fix the board or will I have to replace the board itself?
It is always according to how long the tear goes. If it isn't 3/4 of the way through the board; it can be repaired. If it's a small rip, the headliner material itself will probably be enough to hold it, once it's glued onto the board. For a simple fix, put a piece of duct tape or other kind of tape that will hold; on the backside of the board to hold it in place while you apply the headliner cloth. When the headliner cloth is applied; it will hold the board together just fine. This should work fine. Something to remember; there is no weight on a headliner; all it has to do is support itself, so even though it may look fragile - it supports nothing but itself.
This kit will fit the standard cab Chevrolet trucks.
