Do you have general directions on how to specifically apply adhesive and recover a headliner?
We don't have a set of instructions for applying the adhesive for auto headliners; but I believe we can give you a good idea in a few sentences. When applying the adhesive to the headliner material and board (it should be applied to both for correct adhesion); you should apply a good even coat to both - not to heavy and not to light. I guess it would be kind of like spraying paint from an aerosol can. Too little and it won't cover, too much and it will run - too little (won't work), too much (overkill).
When spraying the adhesive, you don't have to cover every centimeter of the area, but you do need to have it covered sufficiently so that when you apply the headliner material to the headliner board; you have good contact throughout the area. Just use good common sense when spraying and it will come out fine.
We offer 2 great auto headliner adhesive products --> Dap Weldwood headliner adhesive and 3M 76 high tack adhesive.
